With the layer removed and the veneer placed, the width of the tooth is kept the same as it was before the veneer was put on the tooth. Recovery Period Following Veneer PlacementInstalled over two appointments, veneers are placed quickly and easily. The first appointment is all about prepping the teeth. We remove the outer layer of enamel and then work to match the size and color of the patient's teeth and show the patient how they will look once placed. Once the veneers are in place, there is very little change that can be exacted on them. That is why it is important for patients to agree with their placement prior to the procedure.
